‘7 Things’

During the pandemic, I created a small book to keep myself sane, busy, but to also help those less fortunate than I am. I wrote a book about the Philippines and why I love my country. From far away, I decided to help out and donate all the proceeds to an initiative called ‘Food Not Fear’ by the CORA & Fund the Forest PH organizations. The donations will help feed families unable to work during the pandemic while also supporting local farmers.

Love In the Time of Corona:

The state of the world remains ambiguous but we have to keep living and find beauty in our new normal. Find a hobby, do more of what you love, try to make a difference.

As I am quarantined in California, I miss my true home, Manila. I also wonder, how are the people of the Philippines doing during these times? How do those who earn money on a day to day basis feed their families? Many are attached to the phrase “what you earn today is how you eat tomorrow.” What happens to them?

To keep myself sane and busy while also making some sort of impact from far away, I created a small book on my favorite things about the Philippines such as its hidden gems, delicious food, its people and more.

All of the profit I make from you purchasing this book will go to @wearecora & @FundTheForest.ph, Food Not Fear initiative. This will help feed the most vulnerable citizens of the Philippines who are unable to make a living due to the enhanced quarantine. While doing so, this will also support Filipino farmers. Though this is just a small step, it still helps in creating a big difference.

I hope you enjoy this small project of mine. I hope it reminds you of home or teach you things about this beautiful country that will make it your first travel destination post pandemic.
